A graduate student at the prestigious London School of Economics needed help to complete an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies
The maximum postgraduate student loan, from Student Finance England, didn’t match the cost of LSE’s tuition fees. We were able to make up the difference, reducing the need for them to also find paid employment, and enabling them to focus on their studies.
WMSET funding made a critical difference in my ability to confidently take up my place on this course. This funding gave the opportunity to deepen my understanding of key issues within development and humanitarian emergencies, and to lay the groundwork for my career within international development.
