A 2nd year Student, studying Sound Engineering & Production at Salford University, asked WMSET for help with equipment and additional online training, to help accelerate learning and future job opportunities. Access to the online resources of The Production Academy, and the equipment needed by a professional Sound Engineer, enabled him to access additional work opportunities while completing the course.
Getting a grant from WMSET allowed me to kickstart my career to a greater extent, and also to give back to the community at events such as the Wilton Festival. I was excited to expand my professional toolkit and take my next steps in becoming a live sound engineer.
